ONLINE: Seach for your class or program by using the keyword or couse number search options. You may also view full program offerings by clincking on the catagory tabs. Chosse your class(es) , add to shopping cart and process payment.
You may download a registration form from the Schedules and Documents link in the left column to register via the following methods:
BY MAIL: Mail to the Huron Valley Recreation & Community Education office along with your check or money order, made payable to: Huron Valley Schools or charge on your VISA or MasterCard. Allow 3 business days for mail delivery.
BY FAX: at (248) 676-8453 - Use registration form Include your VISA or MasterCard account #, expiration date and always include your phone number.
IN PERSON: At our registration office.
Phone registrations will not be accepted.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
PAYMENT: We accept check, money order, cash, VISA or MasterCard for payment. Your cancelled check is your receipt. If you require a receipt, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Returned check fee is $20.
Register before the first day of class. If not registered at least 2 business days prior to class, add $10 to the class fee. Registrations will not be accepted at class. Registrations will not be confirmed; report to the first class session unless otherwise notified. Non Huron Valley district residents, add $10 to class fees.
FUNDING: The Recreation and Community Education program is completely funded from your fees. Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.
MATERIAL FEES: Material fees are paid to the instructor at the first class session.
REFUNDS: A full refund will be granted for all programs cancelled. If a class is adjusted as to time, date or location by the Department and you cannot attend, a full refund will be issued. Enrollee-requested refunds requested before the first class will be assessed a $10 service fee. A refund requested after the first class and before the second class will be prorated and assessed a $10 service fee. Refunds will not be allowed after the SECOND class has been held, regardless of attendance. Refunds or vouchers are not issued for 1 and 2 day classes. Substitution of participants is NOT allowed..
SENIOR CITIZEN RATE: Senior citizens, age 60 and over, may enroll in Recreation and Community Education classes for 50% off the listed tuition cost (25% off computer classes) unless otherwise specified. Reduced rates do not apply to materials or books.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS:
If the regular day school is cancelled due to inclement weather, ALL daytime and evening Recreation and Community Education classes will also be cancelled. If possible, Pools & Fitness Centers will be open and classes at those facilities will not be cancelled. If a late afternoon severe weather problem occurs, a cancellation announcement for all evening classes will be made on WJR (760 AM), WWJ (950 AM), WKQI (FM 95) and WHMI (FM 93.5), as well as on Channels 2, 4 and 7.
